sundays at compass
Welcome to Compass! Walking into a new place for the first time isn’t always easy. This page answers some of your questions and lets you know what to expect during our Sunday Gatherings.
At Compass, you’ll find people in all different stages of life and faith. We’re a community that welcomes questions and creates space for honest wrestling, no need to have it all figured out.
We’re small enough that you can find real connection and meaningful relationships, but big enough that you won’t feel like you’re in the spotlight when you check things out. Chances are, you won’t be the only newcomer exploring Jesus and community.
Our goal is to move at the speed of relationship. We can’t wait to meet you!

Our typical Worship Gathering includes music, prayer, scripture, a teaching time, and communion. Nursery care is available for kids under 3 for the entire worship service, and children’s church takes place during the teaching time for kids ages 3 through fourth grade.
Arriving at compass
Our sanctuary and welcome lobby is on the first floor of the building. We have two primary entrances: one in the front and a wheelchair-accessible entrance in the rear of our building.
Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by one of our Connection Team members. You can stop by our cafe to grab coffee, tea, donuts, and others snacks before our Worship Gathering begins.

Worship Gatherings
You’ll notice during our Worship Gatherings that men, women, kids, and students of all ages participate in and lead our times together. They do so through teaching, reading Scripture, praying, and leading worship. We are a church that values the gifts God has given us to serve the church body!
Kid’s teaching time
We’d love to get your kids registered for our Kid’s Teaching Time! We value families worship together, so your kid will head to the Kid’s Ministry Area before our teaching time begins downstairs. They will return after our teaching time for communion and reciting the Lord’s Prayer as a church body.
getting involved
We’ve got more going on than just what happens on Sunday mornings. From weekly student services to Discipleship Groups, there is something for anyone looking to get more involved at Compass.
Accessibility
If you could benefit from accommodations to make your visit with us more accessible—we want to hear from you! You can connect with a member of our team who is ready to help by emailing us at info@compassjonesboro.com.
